Founded by Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramon Vilalta in 1988, RCR Arquitectes is based in Olot in Catalonia, Spain. Known for a grounded style that is rooted in and inspired by its local conditions, they were the laureates of the 2017 Pritzker Prize.
We visited Teatro Público La Lira in Ripoll, Pabellón del Baño, Estadio de Atletismo, Park Pedra Tosca, and espai Barberí in Olot.
Our first stop was Salvador Dalí museum in figueres, then we headed to his house in Port Lligat, and our last stop was in Cadaques, to explore the city and have lunch by the sea.
The idea of the bike tour was to learn from Barcelona, as it is considered to be one of the best city when it comes to urban planning and public spaces. The best way to explore a city is by BIKE, the intention was to go through most of the public spaces in the city showing different qualities and how it works.
